| Inspired by landscapes and the big open Norfolk skies, painting has always been a part of my life. My father and grandfather were both artists and lovers of the countryside and they passed down to me their talent and appreciation of nature and beauty.
My childhood was spent between the medieval streets of Norwich and the wilds of the Norfolk coast so any landscape, the Broads, the sea, boats, cottages, streets, fields and the huge skies are my favourites.
My wife and two grown up children have always encouraged and supported me to paint. Ceilings and walls being the most popular subjects, emulsion paint being their preferred medium! I prefer watercolours…..Art should be fun and never taken too seriously.
